Justin Wright and The Dirty Strings

Justin Wright and The Dirty Strings have established themselves as one of the elite musical groups in Western Tennessee and Kentucky. Their versatility as a band and unique sound stems from a diverse group of musical influences throughout their five piece arrangement. 

On the heels of their debut single, “Cuz I Can”, released through Tuff Duck Music, the group has gained an increased level of regional recognition and accolades. They have been featured at Country Music Radio week and CMA Fest both in Nashville, Tn.  Also the band has received two nominations for the JMA Awards for Group of the Year and Song of the Year. 

       With over a decade of songwriting under his belt, Justin has gathered a regional reputation as not only a very accomplished lyricist but, an entertainer that venue owners and fans  have dubbed “shear energy and passion” and “ one of the hottest acts” in Western Kentucky and Tennessee. The Dirty Strings shows elicit emotions of all spectrums and ultimately are relatable to a broad audience. Much of this is due to their different paths of music throughout their individual careers. 

         Drummer Greg Frye, is trained in multiple disciplines but made a name for himself as being at the forefront of the 90’s rock movement, touring all over the country in support of many rock icons. Bass player Tina D Williams grew up in the cradle of Southern Rock and was mentored by legendary acts such as Lynyrd Skynrd and Molly Hatchett. Aaron Pilkington has long been know as a staple in the West Tennessee music scene as a guitarist and bass player that provides solid rhythmic foundations for any band he has performed with, regardless of the genre. Lead guitarist David Faulkner has played with numerous established country acts as John Michael Montgomery and Jessica Andrews. Despite his accomplishments as a country guitarist, David is known for his powerful lead tones and edgy guitar work in the rock spectrum as well.

        Their peers and industry experts have lauded them as “shear energy” and “ a soulful, yet gritty take on country music”. Their sound boast a uniqueness, that tap dances several genres, but doesn’t necessarily reside in any one of them. This has been the formula for the fast rising group, coming out of Northwest Tennessee. With new music releasing in the next couple of months it is safe to say that they have already cemented a brand and sound all their own.
